FOXBOROUGH – Patriots coach Bill Belichick spent the week telling anyone who would listen that the Indianapolis Colts, despite being winless, were a formidable opponent that would pose a challenge to the Patriots.
The Colts did show flashes, keeping the score close in the first quarter and rallying for a flurry of fourth-quarter points, but the Patriots dominated in between and posted a 31-24 victory at Gillette Stadium.

FOXBOROUGH - Bill Belichick spent the entire week leading up to yesterday’s game telling anyone who would listen that the Indianapolis Colts, despite their winless record entering their matchup with the Patriots, would pose a challenge.
Turns out he wasn’t just blowing smoke.
The Patriots headed home from their first 1 p.m. home start of the season with their ninth victory in their back pockets, but judging by the brevity of Belichick’s comments at his postgame news conference and the...

Gentlemen, start your engines, indeed.
After the Colts went 67 yards in 19 plays over 10 minutes 19 seconds for an Adam Vinatieri 31-yard field goal that tied it, 3-3, Brady revved up the Patriots’ offense by going to a no-huddle scheme that put the...

Gronkowski's third touchdown was originally ruled a pass play, but was changed to a run because the pass was a lateral from Brady to Gronkowski. Gronkowski had 13 pass receptions this season and needs one more to set an NFL record for touchdown receptions by a tight end.
